Marketing with PMS & SFA Systems
One of the main problems with PMS and Sales (SFA) systems is the data quality, especially within the Front Office area where proper accounting principles must be complied with.  In this regard, any necessary changes, enhancements and manipulation in the marketing system are particularly complicated.  Besides that, marketing systems are often very intensive in computer calculations, whilst many analyses must be produced hereof. These computing steps, when integrated into an operating system, can partly decelerate the operations. The technology of daily point™ does not replace PMS or Sales systems, it complements it. Should you care to learn more about the differences between daily point™ and PMS/SFA, then
ask us, we’ll be happy to advise you.

What is the difference between TS&C and software providers, agency or consulting companies?
Software providers sell systems and subsequently offer their technical support. TS&C doesn’t sell software; we rent it and offer active marketing support on top of the technical support. This service is included in the license fee and ensures that you generate the very best out of your marketing budget.

Take Microsoft for example. Practically everybody uses it, but do you really utilize around five to a maximum of ten percent of the capacity? Most likely you don’t!  With our marketing support, we assure you that you will be tapping into 100% of the full potential.

Agencies usually offer creative support either without or with very simple technical solutions. Besides that, it is very difficult to find real specialists within the complex market of tourism. TS&C does not replace creative agencies, but rather supports you and your chosen agency with hard facts in regard to your guest data. You can benefit from our long years of experience in the area of relationship marketing.

Very often consulting companies just produce strategy papers. When it starts getting interesting and complicated, as during the implementation of their strategy in daily business, you are usually left alone with it. TS&C accompany you, helping you avoid making the same mistakes as many before you have.

Who’s our competition?
Good question! Surely not the software providers, consultants or agencies (see FAQ). In other branches there are service providers offering technical solutions, but we know of no adequate competitor in the tourism branch. Should you know of any, please do inform us.

Why is the Rate-Code-Analysis faulty?
The analysis of your marketing campaigns about rate codes is truly inaccurate. On the one hand, even small hotels often have over 250 rate codes to work with so that it’s evident, that often the wrong code is taken. On the other hand, many guests don’t book the special offers.  The next problem with rate code analysis is a technical one. If your guest extends his stay, then the rate code changes.

How often should one communicate?
To keep guests loyal, one should attempt to contact their customers every 4 to 8 weeks, especially their “Best Customers”. Your goal should be that your name and the experiences your guests have made will be gladly being remembered. Summarized one can say that in the B2C area about 20 campaigns should be planned. TS&P offers you a standardized Mediaplan for this procedure.

Why is data protection of importance in Marketing?
The “problem” actually is the strict data protection laws within the EU and especially here in Germany. The principle states that unlawfully collected data can never be lawfully utilized after the event. Imagine that you are under examination by the data protection authorities and they discover irregularities. All of your endeavors of completing your marketing data base have become worthless, overnight, because you are no longer allowed to use the data stored. Not even if you fulfill all legal requirements. This is the reason whey TS&C offers you their complete support in this area, so that your future investments are safe.
